Were awarded £31,260 to see the development of ad-hoc life skills sessions into a structured programme of workshops teaching life skills to young adults who have a learning disability or autism from Hastings, St. Leonards and Bexhill.
Workshops will be on areas such as mental health, managing money and budgeting, managing relationships and planning healthy meals. The project will be delivered at the farm, where beneficiaries already attend support sessions, and will work towards building cohesion.
Were awarded £48,003 for a two-year project to build on two existing women’s groups for women who are over 50 and from Black and Minority Ethnic communities and provide separate weekly sessions.
The women will also come together twice a year to share learning. The women want to socialise, support each other, learn new skills and build their confidence so that they become a positive force in their neighbourhoods. Sessions will run weekly in Woking and Surrey Heath, with participants taking it in turns to lead on each session.
